Individual, Inc.
In everything we do in education, “personal” is a word, concept, and action that applies to our learning environment. It’s individual. It’s choice. It’s meaningful. At the same time, teachers and students can not live in a silo. We must be “incorporated”: introducing and sharing ideas and products into a body or mass as an integral part of the betterment of society.

Sifting Through The Massive Amounts of Information Using Flipboard
Flipboard is an amazing tool on the iPad that can gather resources from around the web: videos, tweets, blog posts, news articles pertaining to so many subjects. Efficiently organizing all the resources into "magazines" for future viewing is easy. Allowing students to be collaborators and contributors to specific magazines leads to concise resources specific to content. See how this process works with students as these resources lead into students creating TEDtalks, on stage in front of their peers.

Leave this session with the one best consumption tool that will help you discover resources for your content area which can lead to your students utilizing this amazing tool to discover their personal learning interests.

Personal Promotion - Students and Staff Telling Their Story
Personal Promotion: of yourself, your teaching brand, and your students' great work! As educator, we need to promote ourselves even if WE don't feel comfortable with it. Otherwise other people will promote us in the light that they want to.

How can we do that? The iPad allows for creation of our own Avatars, characters, and icons using the Adobe Draw app. It's amazing what we can make! Also a general concept of 3-4 tools that should be used to promote themselves and the GREAT things they are doing in the classroom will be provided.

Leave the session with actual products that can be used to promote you, your classroom, and your students' work!

Automating Your iPad - Making It Work For You!
Making the iPad Work For You: Workflow is an amazing app that "runs specific steps" so that the iPad really does do the work! Create ""workflows" to accomplish many different tasks.

This is a somewhat challenging concept and may need two hours if we truly want to get the attendees to leave with personal products to make them more efficient.
This is a PAID app, but worth every penny!
